The object of this project was to redevelop the 1929 shopping precinct arcade including demolition of asbestos and masonry shop fronts, and installation of new flooring profile, red iron bark ship lapping, and glazed powder coated shop fronts
Construction included new ambulant access amenities, arcade entrance, herringbone tiled flooring and new lighting throughout. Installation of powder coated, electronic controlled security roller grills and high open ceilings with natural light above the arcade alfresco dining areas, are a feature of this 1000+m2 remodelling by architects Dominic Finlay Jones.
The entire transformation was achieved in 39 weeks while the arcade continued to trade six days a week.
