This refurbishment has made its mark on downtown Byron Bay. As you walk past the historic Hotel, you look in through the huge sliding windows to see the modern kitchen and dining area.
The existing kitchen was dated, and was completely gutted, with walls being removed, and new footings and steel beams being installed to improve the layout and functionality of the space.
During the renovations, one of the brick walls was completely stripped of the old, flaking render, and is now the striking feature, complete with the remnants of the old fireplace imbedded in the brickwork.
Modern facilities, new hardwood floors, timber panelling and with brand new kitchen including stainless steel benches, energy efficient appliances, makes quite the impression in this Heritage Hotel.
