The client came to us, with an idea to design and construct a house from a concept they had seen while travelling over in Mexico.
The formwork for the ‘off form concrete structure’ required Greg Clark Building to engage a specialised local Movie Sculpture company from Movie World to sculpt the roof into the ‘unique’ shape, with foam and placed on-site before the smooth finish shotcrete over the top.
There are no straight walls or ceilings with this project, so all finished and items have either been handcrafted or moulded into shape.
This extremely unique and challenging project required an intensive collaboration to rationalise the delivery methodology and buildability due to it’s ‘out of the box’ vision by our client.
